This bottling, as usual based in large part on Saarburg and Oberemmel fruit but also incorporating a bit from Wiltingen, delightfully illustrates the bright, animating acidity of its vintage. Fresh apple and pear are laced with zesty lemon and lime and underlain by wet stone on a firm, palpably extract-rich palate. Green herbal pungency and peat-like smokiness lend further interest to an exuberant and refreshing finish.

Egon Müller's 2015 Riesling Scharzhof is crystalline clear and fresh on the nose with citrus flavors. This wine is light, lush and piquant, highly filigreed and salty, with good length and perfect harmony. A stunning, classic Scharzhof that is as pure as it is intense and crystalline clear. The grapes were sourced from Saarburg and Wiltingen (Rosenberg and Braunfels).
Intense and delightful fragrance of all things green, fruit and herbs, but also showing a most tastefully restrained notion of fresh herbaceous aromas. On the palate the estate feinherb exhibits a perfect combination of acidity and residual sugar, resulting in a racy and juicy expression that gets the taste buds tingling. (MS)
