Notes of pear, peaches, toasted bread and honeycomb introduce the 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Grande Montagne (Maison Louis Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy wine that's round and open-knit, though it concludes with enlivening back-end grip. This, too, will show well young.

The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet La Grande Montagne 1er Cru has a light apple blossom bouquet, nicely defined touches of nectarine and a background note of mint emerging with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Good weight and tension and a lightly spiced finish. This is a thoroughly enjoyable and well-crafted Chassagne.
