Good medium red. Strawberry, raspberry, rose petal and smoked meat on the nose. A wine of compelling complexity and purity of flavor, with firm minerality leavening the impression of sweetness. Offers a wonderfully fine-grained texture and an extremely long, subtle back end. Even more complex than the Clos-Saint-Jacques but a bit less forthcoming today.

Deep red. Highly complex nose hints at cherry, raspberry and game. Sweet, spicy, full and aromatic in the mouth; a step up in sweetness and texture even from the Clos Saint-Jacques. Impressively long finish is less subtle than that of the Clos Saint-Jacques but more obviously strong. Tannins are very fine.
