Weak rim and slightly dull ruby. Very sweet and heady though not especially precise on the nose. Very sweet and round – not exactly majestic but certainly wonderfully flattering and has a certain lift. Very much grand-cru fruit. A certain delicacy, then sizeably meaty tannins. Fades jus t a little fast. A n OK flattering drink but not a Musigny. (JR)
