Tasting notes
The 2015 Sloan is a total stunner. What a wine. Dark, layered and expansive, the 2015 is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. Dark-toned fruit, chocolate, new leather, menthol and licorice are all amplified to the maximum. This opulent, full-throttle wine remains young, vibrant and super polished. White flowers, jasmine and espresso lift the finish. Readers who own it can look forward to another 10-15 years of exceptional drinking. I loved the 2015 on release. It is even better today!

The 2015 Proprietary Red is made in a more opulent, sexy style and boasts a huge array of blackcurrants, Christmas fruitcake, chocolate, and Asian spices. Reminding me of the 2015 Mouton-Rothschild with its exuberant, full-bodied, extroverted personality, it still stays perfectly balanced, has sweet, polished tannins, ample mid-palate depth, and a finish that won’t quit. This is a brilliant, singular wine that can be enjoyed today with incredible pleasure or cellared for 30 years or more.
A beautifully crafted red with currant, chocolate, cedar and tea aromas and flavors that follow through to a medium to full body, round and refined tannins and a persistent and beautiful finish. Give this until 2021 to come around.
