Score 87-90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2012

Good bright red-ruby. Blackberry and violet on the pure, vibrant nose. Denser and sweeter than the Aloxe-Corton, with crushed blackberry flavor framed by a firm edge of acidity. Finishes with a lingering note of bitter chocolate. Most of the 2010s here have pHs around 3.47, noted Hugues Pavelot, but this one is at 3.57.
