Great nose. Dark fruits and obvious oak. Very low acidity with a heavy, full bodied mouth feel. Still has great balance with a very long finish. Hard to decide between this and the Godolphin but the godolphin seemed to be a little cleaner and a little more balanced. Still, this wine is awesome.

The 2004 Shiraz Angel’s Share is a hedonistic effort. A deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by a fruit-filled wine with a gorgeously complex nose of lead pencil shavings, charcoal, blackberries, and cassis. Medium to full-bodied, with admirable purity, balance, and the tell-tale opulence and voluptuous texture this estate’s wines all seem to possess, it should be enjoyed over the next 7-8 years. This brilliant operation is a credit to the meticulous winemaking of Michael Twelftree and his staff! Importers: Vine Street Imports, Philadelphia, PA; tel. Bright medium ruby. Sweet dark berries and a musky, porty ripeness on the nose, with espresso, licorice and fruity pepper nuances. Fat and creamy in the mouth, with blackberry, creme de cassis, dark cherry and mocha flavors. Holds together nicely on the finish; it's plenty ripe but retains spicy lift and focus.
