Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2021-2030, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2015

(this négociant wine only finished its malo in mid-October): Bright red. Urgent redcurrant and cherry aromas are complicated by pepper and iron nuances. Nicely ripe and silky, especially following the Cras, but still classically dry and backward. Shows good size and medicinal reserve, not to mention solid supporting tannic structure. Méo moved these barrels to his somewhat colder domain cellar to slow their development but he still believes that this wine is softer than normal--not a bad thing, as his Feusselottes can be very ripe and tannic.
