Tasting notes
Just mid ruby with broad orange rim. Chalky, herbal and concentrated, then sweet cherry and orange. Lots of extract and a wall of tannins and just enough acidity to keep the tension. Impressive and powerful. (WS)

Monforte d’Alba. Savoury sweet and perfumed. Nicely sculpted, grainy tannins. Quite full-on attack, but more complex on the finish. Rich and with gripping tannins. (WS)
This wine was harvested a week before anybody else had started, according to Claudio Fenocchio. Maturing ruby, with a slightly unfiltered look. With air, lots of sweet strawberry and a wonderfully spicy streak, minerally notes. Sweet and rich on the palate with grainy tannin and lowish acidity. Very dense. Needs more time. (WS)
