Orchard fruit, touches of petrichor on the nose, this is quite Puligny-like in style. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, though it just needs a touch of tension and mineralité on the finish. But this is fine overall

Pale lemon and lime, with both a refined bouquet and intensity behind. �The inimitable Clos Blanc� says Sylvie. So much fruit detail here, both the sharper styles such as fresh apple, through a whole range of pears but stopping short of peach or anything tropical. All white fruit, excellent taffeta texture, great length.�

About the producer
Based south of Nuits-Saint-Georges in Prémeaux-Prissey, Domaine de la Vougeraie was created in 1999, grouping all of Jean-Claude Boisset’s holdings under one name. The property has a total 40 hectares of vines, with extensive holdings in Vougeot as well as plots in six Grands Crus.
