2019 Domaine Michel Magnien Morey-Saint-Denis

Cask sample. Deepish crimson. Ripe but fresh cherry fruit. So pure on the nose. That lovely Morey crossroads between fruit and a touch floral. The tannins are paper-fine, like layers of tissue paper – is this the effect of the ceramic vessels Magnien used to age part of his wines? Elegant, fresh, persistent. (JH)
