Drink 2016, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2016

Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Bouilland. The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Hameau de Blagny was showing a little too much reduction on the nose, though underneath there is a good Puligny with impressive concentration. The palate is well balanced on the entry, though there is a slight oxidative element that becomes more pronounced towards the finish. This is rather vexing after a very decent showing in barrel. Tasted May 2016.
