Tasting notes
The majority of the fruit here comes from younger vines in To Kalon (representing around 75%), with the rest sourced from Schrader’s estate vineyard in Oakville. Aged in 50% new oak, with the rest second-use oak, it’s an exotic, perfumed wine – with intense red fruit and sweet spice on the nose. The palate is mouthwatering and concentrated, yet with a supple texture, layered with black and red berries and energy from the juicy acidity. Approachable now, although not short in concentration or complexity.

Ripe darker fruits, chocolate, roasted herbs, and violet notes all emerge from the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, a rocking little gem of a 2022 that has sweet fruit, medium to full-bodied richness, and ripe tannins. It's well worth the going rate and will put a smile on your face any time over the coming decade.
