The 2018 Château du Glana has an uncomplicated bouquet of rather clayey red berry fruit and touches of menthol developing with aeration, although I am always seeking more delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly bitter tannins on the entry. There is a very slight herbaceous note on this Saint-Julien, redeemed by a fresh, graphite-tinged finish. I feel that this could have given more in this growing season.

Big du Glana this year with a core of ripe fruit and polished, chewy tannins. Full-bodied and layered.

The 2018 du Glana is a deep, sensual wine. Ripe red cherry, sweet spice and floral notes all flesh out in a Saint-Julien that offers tons of near and medium-term appeal. Glana's radiant, immediate personality is so appealing. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot.
