Tasting notes
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Vocabulum comes from the Ecotone Vineyard, which was previously known as Thorevilos. This is a brilliantly balanced, medium to full-bodied, elegant 2019 that shines on all accounts. Revealing a deep purple/ruby hue (although it's not inky in any way), it has a textbook Napa Valley Cabernet bouquet of cassis, blueberries, loamy earth, chocolate, and cedar pencil. I love the overall balance here, and while it's not a massive wine by any means, it brings beautiful intensity with no sensation of weight or heaviness, has ripe, polished tannins, loads of chalky minerality, and is already just a joy to drink, as are most 2019s. This gorgeous wine is going to evolve for 20-25 years on its purity and balance.
