The 2015 Doisy Daene Blanc Sec has a tightly wound bouquet that was not expressive in the glass, though the palate is more representative with fine weight in the mouth, grapefruit and lime notes with a pleasant twist of sour lemon on the finish. Give it a couple of years in bottle.

Tantalizing, with a shortbread whiff flirting with white peach, orange pith and verbena notes. The long, racy finish shows good tension to match the richer hints. Mar 2016, James Molesworth, www.WineSpectator.com

A textbook expression of Sauvignon Blanc from Denis Dubourdieu, showing notes of gunflint, citrus and lemongrass supported by quite a bit of toasty oak that needs time to soak into the wine. Apr 2016, www.timatkin.com, Drink: 2016-2020
