Tasting notes
Pretty nose of delicate red fruits, concentrated cranberry and rose hip. The palate is fresh and lively with a streak of nervy acidity and tons of red fruit flavour.Dec 2015

The 2014 Nuits St Georges Aux St Julien includes two-thirds whole cluster fruit and comes from vines planted on ferrous soils. The nose is very focused, aloof but delineated; this is a more masculine Nuits Saint Georges. The palate is firm in the mouth and there is a good backbone here, almost rigid, with the whole cluster fruit working well and lending freshness towards the finish. More Morey than Vosne; give it a couple of years in bottle.
About the producer

Volnay’s Domaine de Montille is one of the most historic in the Côte d’Or. Founded in 1730, the property remains family-owned and run, with Etienne de Montille – the ninth generation – at the helm today.
