The 2002 Languedoc Syrah Leone has a salty, marine like minerality to go with a core of sweet fruit, saddle leather and assorted meatiness. Perfumed and complex aromatically, it doesn’t lose a beat on the palate and is full-bodied, voluptuous and rich, as well as with knockout focus and length on the finish. Count me impressed and this beauty will have two decades or more over overall longevity.

Gentle nose. Light and peppery, very gentle and round and thick. Very vibrant. Just very slightly dry. Cuts off a little. (JR)
