Tasting notes
The sexy 1999 Tokay-Pinot Gris Heimbourg has aromas that are surprisingly reminiscent of buttery crawfish. Ripe apples, pears, and loads of botrytis can be discerned in its opulent yet zesty personality. Projected maturity: 2003-2012. Importer: Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA; tel. (510) 524-1524

Deep smoky, minerally nose. Thick and relatively high in alcohol, but with superb depth of fruit and firm acidity this comes across as rather stylish and light on its feet. Features excellent backbone and superb persistence. A very good showing.
