(this wine from very poor soil is vinified for finesse, according to winemaker Philippe Brun): Moderately saturated medium red. Higher-pitched on the nose than the Marsannay samples, offering scents of cranberry and pomegranate. Juicy and on the lean side, offering a restrained sweetness to the flavors of strawberry, cranberry, spices and earth. Less thick than the Marsannay cuvées but with nicely integrated acidity and good energy.

The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Les Véroilles comes from the village cru portion of the vineyard. To be frank, I found this wanting on the nose, missing some fruité and intensity, a bit...flaccid. The palate is better with fresh, crisp, slightly angular cherry fruit but it cuts away too swiftly on the finish. There are much better wines by Bruno Clair in 2015, or otherwise head for Ghislaine-Barthord's own premier cru take on the vineyard.
(from the villages portion). An exuberantly fresh nose features the essence of red cherry and pomegranate aromas that are liberally laced with subtle spice nuances. There is once again good detail and minerality to the highly energetic and saline-inflected middle weight flavors that terminate in a mildly austere, firm and balanced finale.
