2019 Tapanappa - Chardonnay Tiers Vineyard Piccadilly Valley

The 2019 Chardonnay Tiers Vineyard 1.5m comes from a section that was replanted to closely spaced Clones 76 and 95 in 2003. Pear and melon fruit is joined by hints of cedar shavings on the nose, while the silky-textured, medium-bodied palate delivers notes of citrus and wet stone. It's marginally fuller and softer on the mid-palate than the regular Tiers bottling, but with more chalky-mineral grip on the lengthy finish and possibly a bit longevity.
