Score 95/100 · Drink 2006-2021, Robert Parker, Oct 2006

The 2004 Entity (100% Shiraz) is even more profound than the Plexus. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by a magical, sweet creme de cassis, blackberry, camphor, espresso roast, and subtle wood-scented perfume. A fabulous attack, voluptuous, full-bodied mid-palate, multi-layered texture and finish suggest this brilliant Shiraz should drink beautifully for 12-15+ years. Inky violet color. Densely packed, almost muscle-bound scents of crystallized violet, black raspberry, boysenberry, cassis, graphite and subtle vanilla. Broad, intensely flavored and sweet, with flavors of creme de mure, blackcurrant, cola, espresso and sexy oak spices. But there's amazing energy here, too. This has remarkable clarity and precision for its depth and intensity of flavor, with a juicy quality that carries through the long, potent finish. A fabulous combination of power, weight, sweetness and focus, not to mention a stunning bargain for the quality.
