Score 95/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Dec 2024

The Pinot Noir Aspect is a blend of Pinot Noirs grown in the same soil across different aspects and comes from several of Domaine Serene’s estate vineyards, including Côte Sud (planted in 1990), Mark Bradford (planted in 1993) and Grace (planted in 1996). "It’s the hardest wine we make every year,” Vice President of Winemaking and Viticulture Michael Fay and Winemaker Carl Formaker explain. “It’s very layered in terms of blending. There are so many different ferments that taste so good individually, but they don’t always work well together.” The 2021 Pinot Noir Aspect is powerful. It floods the senses with cranberry sauce, red cherry jam, blood orange, rose petals and bitters. The medium-bodied palate is impressively concentrated, offering supple layers of red fruit. Velvety yet vibrant, it has a very long, spicy finish and will be long lived in the cellar.
