2020 La Chablisienne Chablis Château de Grenouilles Grand Cru

The 2020 Chablis Les Grenouilles Grand Cru has a much more nuanced and sophisticated bouquet than some of its peers, beautifully defined with succinct use of oak. There is real palpable mineralité here—you could be standing on the Chablis hillside overlooking the namesake town. The palate is well-balanced, with a slightly honeyed texture on the entry. It is a fleshy Grand Cru, but it doesn't quite deliver the complexity on the finish that the nose deserves. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
