Good deep red-ruby. Knockout nose of raspberry, minerals, licorice and chocolate. Suave and fine-grained, and impressively primary for the vintage. Tightly wound, juicy flavors of black raspberry and minerals. A tad medicinal today, which Hervet says is due to the late malolactic fermentation. Finishes with serious, chewy tannins and a saline nuance. Minerally and very nicely delineated wine, with noteworthy lift on the aftertaste. Not vinified by Bouchard, but aged in Bouchard's barrels.
