Tasting notes
Super clear and ripe fruit aromas along with some licorice and flinty notes on the nose of the 2011 Nahe Riesling Bockenauer Felseneck "GG" reveal a delicate, stunningly precise and coolish aroma. Full-bodied, rich and powerful on the palate, this is a very intense, young, almost opulent but mineral and well-shaped Riesling with an extremely salty finish, great expression and length. The wine needs many years from here but can age for another 10 to 20 years. (From my rediscovered archive; tasted in February 2015.)

Much better behaved on the nose than the Felsenberg. Still quite sour but there is more fruit to be discerned on the palate. This is sleek and you can see more or less where it is headed. Pungent finish. (JR)
