Light liquorice notes on the nose and smoky raciness on the palate. Savoury finish and well done – nothing wrong with this – but I don't think it's worth more than twice as much as the Lafon Mâcon-Uchizy Les Maranches 2018 tasted just before it. (JR)

A vibrant Puligny-Montrachet for this very ripe vintage, with plenty of flinty character. Very elegant and polished on the palate with many fine nuances of flavor, the wet-stone minerality building at the long lemony finish. Drink or hold.
