Dark cherry red. Quite savoury and earthy on the nose. Serious sort of Côte de Nuits style. Attractive muscular dry finish. Quiet chewy and young – will it ever cast off these tannins, I wonder? Ambitious. Hint of salt? Drying finish. (JR)

Deep ruby red. Red and dark berry preserve aromas are complemented by notes of rooty sassafras, vanilla and smoky Indian spices. Sweet raspberry and boysenberry flavors stain the palate and pick up a spicy quality with air, along with a note of candied rose. In a weighty style but not lacking for energy or freshness, with strong finishing thrust and a persistent note of candied flowers.
