Score 94/100 · Drink 2001-2015, Robert Parker, Feb 2000

The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Lime Cave comes from clay/limestone soils built near a cave used for growing mushrooms. The wine is tightly-knit with a beautiful texture. Offering a combination of power and elegance, its Pauillac-like cedary, spice box aromas turn into blackberry liqueur intermixed with cassis and other assorted black fruits as it aerates. This spectacular Cabernet requires 1-2 years of cellaring, and should age for 15 years. Importer: Peter Weygandt, Weygandt-Metzler, Unionville, PA; tel. (610) 486-0800
