Tasting notes
The estate's 2003 Petrucci (100% Sangiovese) saw 16 months in French oak barrels. Ripe and expressive, it reveals plenty of jammy fruit, tobacco, earthiness and herbs, with delicate notes of white truffles that emerge from the glass. Its slightly advancing color suggests it won't be especially long-lived, but this plump, generous red will offer much pleasure over the next few years.
