Tasting notes
Fermented with 100% whole clusters, the 2021 Spätburgunder Hundsrück GG is deep and intense on the relatively warm (but certainly coolish) and fleshy nose that delivers spicy underwood yet also ethereal notes. Silky, lush and saline on the palate, the 21 Hundsrück reveals remarkable finesse and freshness as well as a crunchy tannins, grip and stimulating salinity. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in April 2024.

TA 5.1 g/l, RS 0.1 g/l. Oh wow, what a stunning nose, had to push myself to remember to taste it! Candied hibiscus, ripe redcurrant and red plum. Violet and graphite. Svelte, concentrated palate of crisp red-fruit crunch, lifted rosemary spice. Sleek and supple with persistent acidity and raw-silk texture. Cool-climate Pinot at its best. There's a mystery here despite the near transparency. An ethereal element that seeks to compel rather than charm. (PS)
