Score 89/100 · Drink 2001-2009, Pierre Rovani, Dec 2001

The creamed nut-scented 2000 Corton-Charlemagne Reserve is medium to full-bodied. This concentrated, layered wine reveals broad waves of minerals, hazelnuts, almonds, and spices. It is deep, lively, and possesses a long, well-delineated finish. Drink it over the next 8 years. Note: "Reserve" bottlings are special cuvees crafted with and for David Hinkle / Peter Vezan for the US market. Importer: David Hinkle / Peter Vezan, North Berkeley Imports, Berkeley, CA; tel.
