Candied red fruits, spices, and assorted flowers are found in the aromatic profile of the 2003 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers. Produced from a vineyard located below Bonnes Mares, this wonderfully ripe medium-bodied wine is satin-textured, filled with sappy red as well as black fruits, and boasts a long seamless finish. Drink it between 2007 and 2013. Importer: David Hinkle / Peter Vezan, North Berkeley Imports, Berkeley, CA; tel. (800) 266-6585

Ruby-red. Reduced, smoky aromas of black fruits, dark cherry liqueur and game, with a suggestion of tarragon. Quite smooth and suave in texture, with superripe plum and dark cherry flavors lingering nicely on the finish. Tannins are sweet and pliant. Del icious.
