(domain bottling) Lime, orange, hazelnut and crushed stone on the nose. Wonderfully sweet and penetrating, with sappy, fruit-driven flavors of lime and orange dominating today. This has a compelling ripeness of fruit without any loss of energy. Boillot says the fruit here was even riper than in 2003 (14. 5%, vs. 13. 8%), but the low pH of 3. 11 gives this wine great verve and considerable aging potential.

White flowers and pears are found in the nose of the 2002 Meursault Genevrieres. Light to medium-bodied, pure, and lively, this is a tangy pear, apple, and spice-flavored wine for drinking over the next 5 years. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
