The 2014 Viognier Kobler Family Vineyard is a tiny cuvée (72 cases) of 100% Viognier. This wine reminds me of a French Condrieu thanks to its minerality and its white peach, apricot and tangerine oil notes. A lacy, graceful, medium to full-bodied Viognier with subtle flavors, but serious intensity, this wine only clocks in at 13.5% alcohol, which surprised me. It was aged completely in neutral oak prior to bottling. Drink it over the next 2-4 years.

The 2014 Viognier Kobler Family Vineyard is creamy and expressive throughout. Orchard fruit, candied lemon and white flowers are some of the signatures. This, too, is a delicate, understated white. There is no shortage of personality, though.
