Tasting notes
Score 91/100 · Drink 2019-2025, Neal Martin, Mar 2019

The 1975 Suduiraut has 75gm/L residual sugar but tastes completely different to the 1976 because of the acidity level. It has a lighter color than the 1976 for a start. There is also more roundness and generosity than the 1976 with similar scents that I remarked on previous bottles: orange sorbet, lanolin and wild honey. The palate is fresh on the entry with crisp acidity, very good concentration, freshness, a lovely orange rind and honeycomb notes towards the long finish. This is wonderful, one of the best bottles that I have encountered of several, although it is fully mature. 88gm/L residual sugar, 13.4% alcohol, 4.9gm/L total acidity. Tasted at the Suduiraut vertical at the château.

Score 78/100 · Drink 1982, Robert Parker, Jan 1998

Produced when Suduiraut was in a slump, this wine, from an excellent vintage, has good ripeness, but is shockingly light and is a little too simple and one-dimensional for a top-rated estate. The finish also leaves a lot to be desired. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 6/82.
