Scents of peach, yellow orchard fruit, fresh apricot and dried white flowers preface the 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy but incisive palate, concluding with good length. This is a controlled Chenevottes that confirms its strong showing from barrel.

The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chenevottes 1er Cru has a light, slightly nutty bouquet that feels a little overawed by the Saint-Aubin Premier Crus at the moment. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity, yet it feels a little too straight-laced whereas the Saint-Aubins have more...pizzazz. (DIAM closure)
