Tasting notes
The 2017 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Le Charmois reveals pretty aromas of pear, fresh peach, white flowers, blanched almonds and wet stones. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, racy and precise, with more tension and cut than the 2018 rendition. This is a very pretty, elegantly understated wine.

The 2017 Saint-Aubin Le Charmois 1er Cru matures in 20% new oak, has a slightly more introspective but quite compelling bouquet with dried honey, hazelnut and light oyster shell aromas that just need some coaxing. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh acidity, very harmonious with impressive depth. There is vigour and animation about this Premier Cru with a killer, razor-sharp finish that lingers in the mouth. Magnificent. (DIAM closure)
