(these very old vines reportedly produced just 25 hectoliters per hectare in 2005) Pale, green-tinged color. Classic pure Valmur aroma of lime, mint, crushed stone and iodine. Richly minerally and dense, with chalky, iodiney and saline qualities giving the wine a distinctly chewy character. This boasts terrific lift and tension, not to mention flavor definition. With its rather powerful spinal column, this wine finishes with a touch of austerity that suggests a long and slow evolution in bottle.
