Good deep red. Blackberry and licorice aromas lifted by violet and menthol. Sweet and lush on the palate, with black raspberry and blackberry flavors offering good concentration. This round, village-typical wine should offer early appeal. Meunier harvested early here as the parcel received a bit of hail and he was worried about getting dried skins. (The sturdy Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Fleurieres was very reduced and in need of a second racking.)
