Tasting notes
The 2005 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Boudots leads with aromas of plum, cherry, their distillates, and forest floor. Admirably clear and refined in fruit, its subtle earthiness offering a bit less complexity than displayed today by the Murgers or Pruliers, it finishes long on salted plum skin and bitter cherry. Good ruby-red. Aromatically expressive nose offers perfumed black fruits, violet and minerals. Pure and stylish, with the minerality and finesse of a Vosne premier cru. The black raspberry and floral flavors are racy and sharply delineated. Finishes very long, with suave tannins.
