Very focused and lifted and pure. Super-juicy but not as immediately obvious as a Perrières thanks to its acidity. Winemaker Frédéric Weber cites saltiness. Actually this, for once, could be described as lightly buttery. (JR)

Pale, bright yellow. Expressive nose offers high notes of jasmine, violet and sea salt, along with a leesy Champagne-like complexity. Juicy and pristine on the palate, with penetrating citrus flavors intensified by dusty minerality. A saline element contributes to this pliant, very attractive wine's tactile mouth feel. The slowly mounting finish is firm and complex.

Eight to 12 months in barrel, up to 15% new. Both creamy and lively on the palate, perhaps more energy but less depth than the Genevrières. Racy and sustained but lightish in the middle. (JH)

(made from three different parcels): Pale bright yellow. Perfumed aromas of lemon peel and acacia flower. Chewy, saline and savory, with harmonious acidity (4.1 grams per liter) and underlying minerality accentuating the flavors of lemon, lime and truffle. With its strong mineral component and inner-mouth aromatic character, this almost tastes like it's from another vintage.
