100% whole bunch. Dark crimson. Broad and rich. A little sweet and overblown even. Charming and much sweeter and rounder than most Pommards. Just a bit too sweet for me with a slightly bitter note on the end. (JR)

(100% vendange entier): Medium red. Exotic raspberry liqueur dominates the nose and palate. A very round, supple and sweet version of Fremiers. Given shape on the back by substantial broad, dusty, fine-grained tannins. Good potential here, but today this is noteworthy more for its texture than its complexity. I would never have guessed that this wine was made entirely from whole clusters.
An intensely floral nose is also exuberantly spicy with very cool yet ripe red berry fruit, pungent earth and hints of smoked meat. There is superb detail and excellent underlying tension to the big-bodied, powerful and overtly muscular flavors that display truly striking complexity on the splendidly persistent finish. This is just flat out marvelous. Tasted: Apr 15, 2013. Drink: 2023+
