Score 16.5/20 · Drink 1940-1970, Jancis Robinson MW, Apr 2010

From a demijohn in Ricardo Diogo Freitas’ grandfather’s collection . Reddish tawny. Rich and old and vibrant. Mahogany. So reduced (ie concentrated) and relic-like. So much acidity! Made during the first world war! But almost painful to taste because of the extreme acidity. (JR)
