Score 87-89/100 · Drink 2001-2006, Pierre Rovani, Aug 1998
From a vineyard just above the grand cru Richebourg, this medium-to-dark ruby-colored offers blackberry, wheat, and spicy oak aromas. This is a highly-structured wine (a Nuits framework but with a Vosne's softness), medium-to-full-bodied, slightly austere and restrained yet delicious. Black fruits, stones, and minerals can be found in this tightly-wound and excellent wine. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2006. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; (212) 490-9300.
