The 2019 Rully Maizières Blanc does not offer the pizzazz of the Meix Cadot. This is more introspective with touches of melted wax and pressed white flower - quite Chassagne-like in style. The palate is citrus-driven from the start: orange rind, grapefruit and sour lemon, lovely cohesion with a subtle cereal-like note towards the finish. Very fine.

Scents of crisp orchard fruit, fresh peach, nutmeg, white flowers and toasted almonds preface the 2019 Rully Maizières Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, saline and penetrating wine that marries mid-palate amplitude with chalky grip. Dureuil observes that the long rows in his large parcel in this lieu-dit stretch from clay soils to much stonier ones.
