Score 83/100 · Drink 2025-2028, Neal Martin

The 1995 Savennières Clos de la Coulée de Serrant has quite a deep hue. Bottles from this era have varied in my experience, and this one exhibits far too much oxidation on the nose. The palate is light and very saline with bitter orange rind notes and nutty notes, but it stumbles towards the finish which distinctly lacks freshness. Tasted blind at the "five" dinner at Domaine de Chevalier.
