Tasting notes
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon comes all from Red Mountain, which is a warmer region located in the heart of the Columbia Valley. Beautiful cassis and blackberry fruits as well as textbook graphite, chocolate, and lead pencil notes define the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied, with notable purity, some classic Red Mountain tannins, and outstanding length. It's a terrific Cabernet from this team that will keep for 15 years or so.

Containing 10.5% Malbec, 4.5 % Syrah and 2% Petit Verdot, the 2017 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon begins with a straightforward expression of blackberries and subtle dusty spices on the open-knit nose. Medium-bodied, the wine turns slightly tart on the mid-palate, showing a balanced expression that lingers with a spicy finish. Just over half a million bottles were made, and this shows great value for the price. I can see this wine in the barbecue. It's a screaming deal.
