Tasting notes
67% Shiraz, 17% Grenache, 10% Mataro, 6% Viognier (co-fermented with Shiraz). Aged for nine months in French oak hogsheads (5% new). Great vintage – 150th anniversary. So thick and rich! Tarry nose. Beautiful lifted fragrance too. There’s a definite charred edge on the nose. Strange combination of super-ripe fruit and touches of bitterness too. Milk chocolate and coffee on the finish. (RH)

A blend of 67% Shiraz (co-fermented with 6% Viognier), 17% Grenache and 10% Mataro, the 2018 Henry's Seven boasts aromas of boysenberries and blueberries. plus hints of dried spices. Matured in 5% new and 95% seasoned French hogsheads for nine months prior to blending and bottling, oak is a minor element, with the fruit flavors coming through loud and clear on the medium to full-bodied palate. It's supple and easy to drink, with a hint of stone fruit on the long and softly dusty finish.
