Deep, bright crimson. Well made and extremely juicy with a hint of woodsmoke. The tannins are almost completely hidden. Competent rather than exciting. (JR)

Full ruby-red. Blackberry, smoky oak and an animal note on the nose. Moderately intense but slightly dry-edged and clenched; seems dominated today by its structure. Finishes with peppery, drying tannins, decent persistence and an herbal edge. Offers good clarity of flavor but only modest flavor development.
